Cole Please..

J. Cole - I should have posted this guy the day we started this blog.
Since Jay-Z took him under his wing earlier this year, J.Cole has continued to give us those real tracks that he started pushing from the beginning. "Lights Please" was one of realest and most catchiest tunes he put on his "Warm Up" mixtape in early 2009.
His recent tracks include "Blow Up", "It Wont Be Long" and "I'm On It" and these all clearly symbolise the fact that he's going to be the next big thing and he is ready to put anyone out of business that comes in his way.
His lyrics are up their with Nas and I hope they team up on an Alchemist beat very soon.
Please check out his latest track I'm On It..

I Wanna Know Your Name

Swedish House Mafia are proving their name on the Club Scene and have been for years now. With their new collaborations with the likes of Pharrell and Tinie Tempah there name in the Hip Hop scene has become bigger.
Most of you will know that this tune has been out for a good few months now, most importantly it has finally got some recognition on the UK charts in the past week or so.
Shouts go out to Pharrell and SHM..

Octobers very own......

Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham is the epitome of fashionable, talented, handsome, I can go on and on..
‘Best I ever had’ was the first song that made every FAN really listen to what he has to say, it was such a great song with good lyrics, nice rhymes and sultry vocals. Everyone loved it!

2009 was an amazing year for Drake, and all his success came to him through his 3rd mix tape ‘So Far Gone’. He had not even dropped a debut album yet and was already the proud winner of 2 BET Hip Hop Awards!
Drake was born in Ontario, Canada on October 24th 1986 to an African American father  from Tennessee and a white Jewish Canadian mother. Clearly music was in his blood seeing that his father was a drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis and his uncles were also musicians.
He can best be described as a multi faceted entertainer who can sing, rap and act. From 2001 – 2009 he acted in the show ‘Degrassi – The next generation’ and he has also made appearances in some other TV Shows.
As an RnB singer he claims to be ‘I’m hot right now, that’s the truth’ however on several occasions he reiterates his open minded approach to success by stating he realises the hard work has only just begun and that he can judge his success in the future and not right now.
With Drakes latest album ‘Thank Me Later’ being a global success, it’s factional that this guy is striving for more and more, who can stop him? I still feel as though we haven’t seen his best yet and feel Drizzy can really show us his A-GAME over the forthcoming years.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Mr West: One of the most significant voices of our generation? It depends on your opinion of him. Generally whether you like him or not since he dropped College Dropout in 2004 his music has been very influential around the world.
With the most anticipated album of the year Kanye dropped his track list on iTunes just a few hours ago, but 6 out of 12 of the tracks have already been on his GOODFRIDAY posts which does irritate the sh*t out of me, however the days of not knowing what's on an album - going to the shop and buying it straight away have gone; so f*ck it lets just enjoy what's left to offer.
Anyway knowing Kanye he has changed and tweaked a few things on the songs that he has dropped already!
I look forward to November the 22nd but I guess it will be out before then ;)!

Anyway check out his new GOODFRIDAY drop that will not be on the album: featuring Mos Def, Lupe and Big Sean.. Dont Look Down..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uI3dPyYVQY4

Whats Your Favourite Nas Quote?

”I sip a Dom P watching Ghandi until I’m charged, then writing In my book of rhymes all the words past the margin”-Nas, The World Is Yours

And you questioned why he reached for the title of king of New York. Coming from his song The World Is Yours on the second best hip hop album ever Illmatic, this quote is simply enjoyable. Over tingling keys and a deep drum loop, Nas plays with words and theories that most couldn’t even dream of. The way he propels the words is so simple yet so unique as he takes the listener down his past. At the ripe age of eighteen, Nas had the mental capacity of a eighty-year-old and he takes the listener through a Queens Bridge movie. This quote is the first sentence of the song as is a flash back into the past. The freshness and creativity of his words is nothing like I’ve ever heard before. I'm a massive NaS fan and always feel he kinda gave up on music a while ago, one of the biggest talents still? I guess we will never know.

Kanye is back at last..
Kanye West has revealed that he is putting the finishing touches to his new album..The Beatiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
The album must be finished by the 14th of October!

In an post on Twitter, West said he was still deciding what recordings to put on the album, as well as making small adjustments to some tracks..AUTOTUNING!?!

“Late night in the studio in Australia wrapping up the album..what songs will make it, what songs won't?” he wrote.

“Most every song has been extended and has music embellishments...I don't make my album music under any radio format...I just let that sh*t ride.”

I can't wait for this to be released!!

Minaj Love...

Since the release of the Young Money single 'Bed Rock' Nikki seems to be exploiting here new found fame to the fullest and why not, she’s innovative and dynamic, funny and cheeky, charismatic and charming! Erm well maybe not charming. lol

Anyway Nikki's debut studio album PINK FRIDAY is set for release on 23 November 2010 (Don't be surprised if this is pushed back). One thing is for sure, it's going to be a scorcher!!

Kid Cudi’s “Man on the Moon II” - NOV 9

This guy is too fresh, working with the likes of Ratat & MGMT; lets be honest even if you are not feeling him he is taking the music to another level, this is evident from Man on the Moon 1.
He has proven himself on the club scene with Day and Night (Crookers Remix) and Memories with David Guetta; not many rappers/mc's have had that much success on a European and World club  scene.
Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager; will be another classic and I think as time goes on more and more people will understand how unique and different this individual is!

Big up datnewcudi.com and kidcudi.com/news

Just when we thought Guetta was done for the summer..

Another great club banger featuring Rihanna

David Guetta Ft Rihanna - whos that chick

Fresh as FCUK..

This girl is fresh, I know I am late and a lot of you already probably know about her but check this if you have not heard this tune..
Katy B - On A Mission (Official Video)

"Distant Relatives.."

Nas and Damian Marley express the reason for the album, its movement and the history behind everything the album stands for. Worth a watch if you like either or both artist(s).

Weezy Still-at-it

Is he really in prison??? It feels like he's still doing his thing, the music continues to come out and the Young Money brand keeps enhancing it's reputation.

Whilst Drake and Nicki Minaj have released enough Young Money material to fill your i-pod, a void still remains which neither could cover. Leader of the Young Money revolution Lil Wayne has had his dominance at the top cut short due to his prison spell. However even incarceration hasn’t been successful in putting a halt to Weezys work rate as the New Orleans favourite son dropped his latest album, I’m Not A Human Being.
A title fitting to an artist whose material can only be described as out of this world, Lil Wayne’s next venture hopes to keep him abreast of the rest of Hip Hop’s all star lineup, even with a brief hiatus. I like what Young Money do and this is another example of the labels ability to continually adapt in today’s ever changing music market.

Swiss Time

Rise of the Swiss..BEAT(z)
